WHAT IS REMOTE ONLINE NOTARIZATION?

Remote Online Notarization allows you to meet with your notary virtually instead of meeting in person.

The notarization takes place through a secure online platform using live audio and video. You'll verify your identity, meet with the notary virtually, electronically sign the document as required, and receive the completed notarized document electronically.

RON can be a convenient option for individuals, families, attorneys, title professionals, businesses, and others who need notarization without coordinating an in-person meeting.

3. Receive Your Secure Link

You'll receive instructions and a secure link to access your online notarization session.

4. Verify Your Identity

Before joining the session, you'll complete the platform's required identity-verification process.

5. Meet With Your Notary Online

You'll connect with your notary through live audio and video and complete the signing and notarization electronically.

6. Receive Your Completed Document

Once the notarization is complete, your electronically notarized document will be available electronically.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR YOUR ONLINE NOTARY APPOINTMENT

To help your Remote Online Notarization appointment go smoothly, please have:

  • Your complete document in an electronic format

  • A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID

  • A computer, tablet, or compatible device with a camera and microphone

  • A reliable internet connection
