What is Remote Online Notarization?

Remote Online Notarization (RON) allows you to complete a notarization virtually with a Notary instead of meeting in person.

Using a secure online platform with live audio and video, you’ll verify your identity, meet with the Notary, electronically sign as required, and receive your completed notarized document electronically.

All you need is a compatible device, internet connection, and acceptable identification to get started.

Verify Your Identity

Before your session, follow the secure platform’s prompts to verify your identity. Have a valid government-issued photo ID and compatible device ready.

Meet With Your Notary Online

Connect with your Notary through live audio and video. Once all requirements are met, you’ll complete the signing and notarization electronically.

Receive Your Document Online

Once complete, your electronically notarized document will be available electronically, so there’s no need to wait for a physical copy.

What You'll Need For Your Online Notarization Appointment

To help your Online Notarization appointment go smoothly, please have:

  • Your complete, unsigned document in an electronic format

  • A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID

  • A computer, tablet, or compatible device with a camera and microphone

  • Reliable internet connection

  • All required signers and witnesses available for the scheduled session
